A lot of homeowners haven't heard of a shop-at-home flooring visit before they call us, so here's a plain walkthrough of what actually happens when we come to your house — no surprises, no pressure.
Before the visit
When you request an estimate, we'll ask a few quick questions — which rooms you're flooring, roughly what you have in mind, your timeline, and any household factors like pets or kids. That way the samples we bring are already narrowed down to what makes sense for you, instead of showing up with a random assortment.
During the visit
- We bring a curated selection of real flooring samples based on your project
- You compare them directly against your walls, cabinets, and existing trim — in your own daylight and lamp light
- We measure the space and talk through subfloor condition, transitions, and anything that could affect installation
- We answer product questions honestly, including telling you when a cheaper option is genuinely the better fit
What you'll walk away with
By the end of the visit, you'll typically have a short list of favorites, a real price range based on your actual measurements (not a generic online calculator), and a realistic installation timeline — usually 2 to 3 weeks out from when you select your product.
No pressure, no gimmicks
We don't do high-pressure, sign-today sales tactics. Take the samples, sit with the decision, compare pricing if you want to — we'd rather you choose the right floor than the fast floor. When you're ready, we schedule installation around your timeline.
